Q: What is the Law of Attraction?
A: Simply put: “like attracts like.” The science of consciousness begins with an understanding that the world we live in is vibrational; any one of us knows when we are “putting off good vibes” we attract more of what we like and we also know when we are in disharmony with our world. Our thoughts create our emotions and our emotions create our world; by positively directing our thoughts, we feel better and by feeling better we gain what we desire. The art of deliberate creation harnesses the intelligence of the universe — when we learn to place our attention on what it is we do want rather than taking inventory of what we do not want – we are able to attract the experiences and things we seek for ourselves: better health, more abundance, fulfilling relationships.
Q: Does the Law of Attraction work the same for everyone?
A: The Law of Attraction is absolutely consistent— there are no exceptions—so in that way yes, the Law of Attraction does work the same for everyone. However, we are each unique individuals, with our own set of characteristics and preferences. This means what we attract into our lives is completely unique for each of us and it makes it very hard —pointless in fact—to compare one’s experience to anyone else’s.
Q: How does the Law of Attraction address all the evils and wrongdoing in our world?
A: If you look at your own life before you learned of LofA chances are likely that you have experienced “bad” things along with good. I would bet that if you look back at the “bad” things that happened in your life, and if you can remember at all what you were feeling, what kind of thoughts were going on in your head at the time, and what else was going on around you, you would recognize fear, pain, and negative thinking. Now that you know these principles you can recognize the unconscious negativity you were experiencing in your life and what unwanted outcomes came of that. If you can see this in your own life you can extrapolate that to how the whole world unconsciously creates what we call evil and wrongdoing. By raising your own consciousness you can literally improve the world around you. While you cannot control others or their actions you can influence them by displaying your own progress.
Q: What can I expect from following these principles?
A: The general experience for anyone who becomes familiar with the LofA and applies the principles is a sense of well-being, more positive experiences and an unprecedented ease in his/her relationships. As you begin to feel better and accumulate more affirmation that the Law of Attraction is always in action—regardless of one’s awareness of it — then you inevitably will begin to manifest more specifically what you want. Since we all have very different experiences, wants and needs, the method will vary from person to person but the overall experience is always progressive.
Q: If I think bad thoughts about a subject or have a bad day, is it like starting over from scratch?
A: When we are doing well, and know this stuff and have been doing it for a while we get to a place, when we see contrast, and it gives us a lower vibration feeling, there is a limit to how low down the emotional scale you can be taken by a single contrast. This is because the law of attraction only gives you access to vibrations within the vicinity of where you are. This does not just work in the upward direction, where Abraham has made it quite clear that you can not jump from Depression to Joy, it most also work in the downward direction where you can’t plummet from joy to depression (despite how intense it feels). A negative quantum leap is as unlikely as a positive quantum leap.
